This birthday seed card carries the message on its front: ""I put 100 thyme seeds inside — as many years of wisdom, strength and love as I wish you!"" The illustration shows a father and child planting thyme together in a rustic garden, tiny bees drifting through — a picture of exactly what the gift invites: a little time spent growing something side by side. Attached to the card is a real seed packet: approximately 100 thyme seeds.

Why it's collectible

Each Tiny Bee Garden card carries a hand-written edition number and is finished individually. The wax seal is applied by hand, so no two impressions are quite alike; small differences in shape, thickness, and depth are simply what hand-sealing looks like. Between the seal, the signature, and the numbering, each card leaves my hands as an original hand-finished piece rather than a printed insert.

Every Tiny Bee Garden™ order includes a small thank-you that isn't printed, poured, or planted — it's numbered.

The Founding Garden Edition token is a little disc bearing our bee, made by hand in my Ohio home studio and sealed under resin to protect its number. On the back, each one carries the year and its own edition number — written by my hand, issued once, never repeated. A card gets given away and seeds get planted, but the token is the piece that stays with you.

Growing thyme

Fill a small pot with light soil — a windowsill container or a sunny garden corner both work. Scatter the thyme seeds gently on the surface. Cover very lightly and water softly. Keep the soil moist until sprouts appear. Place in a warm, bright spot, and thin the strongest seedlings to give them room. Thyme is patient and forgiving — much like a good dad.

Seeds are for planting only, not for consumption. No live plant is included; germination and growth depend on season, soil, temperature, light, and care.

A few practical notes

Cards ship flat and protected so the wax seal and token arrive intact. Store the seed packet somewhere cool and dry until planting; the packet carries its own labeling, including packed-for date. Colors may vary very slightly from screen to print. Made in a home studio in Ohio where common allergens may be present.
