About the Kefir Grains
These are live milk kefir starter culture grains traditionally used to ferment dairy milk into homemade milk kefir. The grains are reusable when cared for properly.
These grains have been maintained with pasteurized A2 milk. A2 milk is still dairy milk and contains lactose and milk proteins. This product is not lactose-free and is not suitable for anyone with a milk allergy.

Quick Start Instructions
1. Place the grains in a clean glass jar.
2. Add about 1/2 cup fresh dairy milk per 1 teaspoon of grains.
3. Cover loosely with a cloth, coffee filter, or other breathable cover. Do not seal tightly.
4. Leave at room temperature, about 68–77°F, for 12–24 hours.
5. Strain the kefir, move the grains into fresh milk, and repeat.
After shipping, live grains may need 1–3 small batches to settle and become active again. This is normal for a live starter culture.
Care Tips
• Do not use hot milk or hot water.
• Do not seal the jar tightly during fermentation.
• Keep grains in fresh milk between batches.
• Refrigerate finished kefir after fermentation.
• A quick strain with stainless steel is fine.
On Arrival
Open the package promptly and place the grains into fresh milk. Healthy milk kefir grains are usually creamy white to pale yellow and may smell pleasantly tangy.
Do not use if you see fuzzy mold, pink or orange discoloration, or notice a rotten odor.
Important Note
This is a live natural starter culture. Size, color, texture, and amount may vary slightly. Homemade fermented foods are prepared and consumed at the buyer’s own discretion.

A COLLECTOR'S TOKEN COMES WITH YOUR ORDER
Every Tiny Bee Garden™ order includes a small thank-you that isn't printed, poured, or planted — it's numbered.
The Founding Garden Edition token is a little disc bearing our bee, made by hand in my Ohio home studio and sealed under resin to protect its number. On the back, each one carries the year and its own edition number — written by my hand, issued once, never repeated. A card gets given away and seeds get planted, but the token is the piece that stays with you.
Keep your tokens together and watch your collection grow as you return to the garden. And returning is its own small reward: with every order you'll receive a thank-you code for 15% off your next visit, so your garden keeps growing, season after season.
For those who return again and again, a quiet honor waits — the title of Founding Gardener, with a hand-signed certificate and a little surprise, kept for the ones who were here at the beginning and believed in small handmade things made with the heart.
Tokens are complimentary keepsakes and have no cash value. Small part — please keep away from small children."
