Crossing Guard Appreciation Seed Card, Handmade School Thank You Keepsake

$6.00

Appreciation Gift, Thank You Card, School Staff Gift, Crossing Guard
"Plant Today • Guide Tomorrow • Bloom Forever

Twice a day, in every weather, someone stands at the corner between home and school and makes sure the smallest travelers cross safely. The crossing guard learns the names, holds back the traffic, and watches over every little journey — and almost nobody thinks to thank them. This card does.

Seeds of Safe Journeys is Card No. 7 in The Garden of Learning™ collection from Tiny Bee Garden. The front shows a smiling guard with her STOP sign raised, children crossing behind her toward the schoolhouse, a flowerpot of black-eyed Susans reading ""Thank You for Helping Us Grow,"" and a stack of books with the corner's three rules: Be Kind, Be Safe, Be Respectful. Attached to the card is a real seed packet: approximately 20 black-eyed Susan seeds.

The message inside:
A crossing guard's steady care helps children begin and end each school day safely. Plant these bright blooms as a heartfelt thank-you for the person who watches over every little journey.

What you receive

One 7″ × 5″ illustrated keepsake card, printed on heavy cardstock
An attached packet of approximately 20 black-eyed Susan seeds (Rudbeckia hirta)
A full Seed Guide printed on the back — five clear planting steps, no guesswork
A traditional wax seal, poured and stamped by hand
Hand-numbered edition line, signed by the maker
One hand-numbered Founding Garden Edition collector's token — see below
A green 7″ × 5″ envelope, ready to give

Why the black-eyed Susan

The black-eyed Susan was the only real choice for a card about safe crossings — it's the flower version of a high-visibility vest: bright gold, impossible to miss, standing cheerfully at attention from midsummer to frost. It's tough, dependable, comes back year after year, and asks for almost nothing — rather like the person this card is for. Twenty seeds today; a corner of gold every summer after.

Why it's collectible

Each card in the series carries its own Tiny Bee Code (this one is TB-GL-CG-07), a card number within its collection, and an edition number written in by hand — one of only 50. The wax seal is applied individually, so no two impressions are quite alike; small differences in shape, thickness, and depth are simply what hand-sealing looks like. Between the seal, the signature, and the numbering, each card leaves my hands as an original hand-finished piece rather than a printed insert.

Authenticity of Your Collectible Card

Each original Tiny Bee Garden™ collectible card is authenticated by three handmade details:

a Tiny Bee Garden™ wax seal
the handwritten card number
Rona Rose's maker signature

These details identify the original limited collectible card made by hand in Ohio.

A COLLECTOR'S TOKEN COMES WITH YOUR ORDER

Every Tiny Bee Garden™ order includes a small thank-you that isn't printed, poured, or planted — it's numbered.

The Founding Garden Edition token is a little disc bearing our bee, made by hand in my Ohio home studio and sealed under resin to protect its number. On the back, each one carries the year and its own edition number — written by my hand, issued once, never repeated. A card gets given away and seeds get planted, but the token is the piece that stays with you.

Keep your tokens together and watch your collection grow as you return to the garden. And returning is its own small reward: with every order you'll receive a thank-you code for 15% off your next visit, so your garden keeps growing, season after season.

For those who return again and again, a quiet honor waits — the title of Founding Gardener, with a hand-signed certificate and a little surprise, kept for the ones who were here at the beginning and believed in small handmade things made with the heart.

Tokens are complimentary keepsakes and have no cash value. Small part — please keep away from small children.

Growing black-eyed Susans

Sow after the danger of frost has passed. Press the seeds lightly into soil in full sun. Water gently and keep the soil lightly moist. Thin the seedlings to twelve to eighteen inches apart. Enjoy bright blooms all summer, and save seeds in fall if you wish — black-eyed Susans are famously easygoing and often return on their own, a thank-you that keeps renewing itself.

Seeds are for planting only, not for consumption.

Who it's for

The corner guard your child waves to every morning, the one who knows every backpack by name. End of the school year, retirement after decades at the same crosswalk, School Crossing Guard Appreciation Day in February, or a simple thank-you from a family, a class, or a whole street of grateful parents. The gift aisle forgets crossing guards entirely — this card was made so you don't have to.

A few practical notes

Cards ship flat and protected so the wax seal and token arrive intact. Store the seed packet somewhere cool and dry until planting season; the packet carries its own labeling, including packed-for date. Colors may vary very slightly from screen to print. Made in a home studio in Ohio where common allergens may be present.

About Tiny Bee Garden

Every card starts as an illustration, a story, and a handful of seeds. The collections are small on purpose — hand-numbered, hand-sealed, and made one at a time in an Ohio home studio, alongside a garden, a porch greenhouse, and a great many bees.
